NaNoWriMo

This year, I'm not writing fan fiction. In fact, I'm writing pseudo literary fiction or magical realism...or maybe it's literary dark fantasy or something. Sort of on the opposite pole from fan fiction, at least as far as "respectability" goes... Yeah, right.

Anyway, I'm going to be using a different journal for that attempt because this is my Snape journal.

The new journal is [info]ravens_quills

I don't know if I will be posting any or all of the actual novel, since last year, I got lazy and stopped posting after Chapter 8 or something. Anyway, I'm writing a twisted, insane version of Snow White.

Feel free to drop by or friend or whatever.

Any actual prose will be friends-locked, since this is something I'm considering publishing, but I will friend anyone who wants to read.

I wrote an entire novel from the idea of what it would take to make the Cinderella story happen if there was no magic.

And I'm not writing fanfic for my NaNo either. I'm writing a story set in a world I made up (no magic in this world) and based loosly on a dream I had. Actually, I think the house was the most attractive thing in the dream, but it was an interesting dream.

If you would like to friend me over in NaNo, I'm under Spottedcat83. I'm perpetually lost on their site, so I can't say I'd find you if you don't friend me! Is it just me, or is their site hard to get around in?
I found it hard, too. Anyway, I'm RavenCorbie. I'll look for you!

And the Cinderella story sounds great. Dreams are good for coming up with ideas. Though sometimes, the dreams I have are completely implausible, even for fantasy. Other times -- I was writing a really self-indulgent, plagiarized fan fic once (that is not going up anywhere -- just for my own pleasure), and pretty much every night, I had some sort of dream that inspired me for the next day. It was great!

You're alive! I thought you'd abandoned this one! Anyway, if you stil have my e-mail, we should catch up.

(Though possibly not if I'd distract you from nanowrino.)

Re: {from glynis}

No, no abandoning... just being really lazy :)

And yes, we should catch up. I'll see if I have your e-mail address.
